Her first public performances followed by a children's choir as well as an annual vacation spot that included karaoke. She performed in churches, restaurants, at events for families, and anywhere within 30 miles of her home. Alaina was a singer at the age eight, won at the age of 8 Southern Stars Pageant Talent Competition. That year she was crowned the competition to showcase talent for children in Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival. Her performances on this stage continued to be enjoyed until the 12th birthday of her and she was one of the winners in a contest that allowed her to take part on the stage. As a ten-year-old, she traveled from Florida from Florida to Orlando to participate in the American Model and Talent Competition. She was the winner of the competition, beating out 1,500 kids. Alaina performed with Georgia Country Gospel Music Association children's choir. Alaina was twelve when she made her first and many subsequent trips to Nashville. Also, she performed at bars in the area, such as Tootsie's in Broadway. Alaina was the first to win Lake Winnepesaukah's WinniSTAR Youth Talent Contest in 2009. She composed and sang many songs, which included Leaving, Set Me Free, as well. Alaina was in awe of singing by her cousin, Holly Witherow, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Alaina was previously employed by CiC's Pizza. She attended Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia and was an cheerleader.
